Extensive waterfront redevelopment across the Hudson Valley has turned the shoreline into the picture of promise as projects in various stages of approval have emerged in Ossining, Peekskill, Sleepy Hollow, Haverstraw, Tarrytown, Yonkers, Poughkeepsie, Beacon and Newburgh.

One of the most compelling trends in this resurgence is the increased demand for luxury condominiums. The lure of magnificent river views coupled with baby boomers seeking to move out of their large single-family homes has made these properties extremely popular.

Hawthorne-based developer Martin Ginsburg has been a trailblazer in this revitalization. An advocate for the Hudson River for 20 years, his firm, GDC, is building luxury waterfront communities in Peekskill and Sleepy Hollow. The company is also developing an 850-unit luxury condo and mixed-use project in Haverstraw in Rockland County.
