Morris Industrial Developers ended the last in the series of legal fights that have swirled around its Austin Avenue development in Yonkers for years with a settlement last week in the dispute over the Jewish cemetery that formerly occupied the site.

The settlement was announced the afternoon of Jan. 25, after Morris and the state attorney general's office had spent the morning in state Supreme Court in White Plains, offering opening arguments in a trial over Morris' alleged failure to live up to an agreement to remove all of the bodies from the cemetery before construction began on the development in 1989.
