Three years after terrorist attacks on New York City and Washington, D.C., the demand for new office security technologies remains high, according to area suppliers.
"There's a clear demand for building security systems. Particularly since 9/11, there has been quite a demand for card-access control systems," said Don Fait, president of FD Security Systems Inc., a Katonah company that sells, installs and services security systems.
Such systems, he said, typically cost from $2,000 to $3,000 per door, including the card reader and electronic door-locking hardware....
