They could shoot, though not particularly well this day. They could rebound, but the glass was unkind this time.

The Trojans could do most anything Oregon could do on Saturday afternoon at McArthur Court, except lean on experience.

Which is exactly what the Ducks did, using the 22 points and 11 rebounds each from seniors Cathrine Kraayeveld and Andrea Bills en route to an 81-59 rout of a youth-dominated USC outfit in a Pac-10 Conference women's basketball game.

"They look to us to be leaders," said Kraayeveld, who became the 18th player in Oregon history to score 1,000 or more career points and did it in front of an announced Mac Court crowd of 4,096 - third largest of the season.

"Someone needs to step up every game. It's what the team needs."

Bills stepped up, tying her single-game career high for points, and out. Three of her nine career-high-tying field goals were from outside the paint.

"I'm still working on the three-pointer," grinned Bills, who in 112 games as a Duck has yet to shoot the long-range shot.
