CARLISLE, Pa., Feb. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Governor Edward G. Rendell today announced the award of more than $700,000 in Home Town Streets aid to help two communities in Cumberland County improve their downtowns.

"Being here in Carlisle and Cumberland County is a great place to talk about the New Pennsylvania," Governor Rendell said. "I am delighted to be here today to announce that we are funding two examples of the kinds of town- building efforts that are crucial for making this New Pennsylvania a reality."
