Herschel Lambert, service manager at Johnston Motor Co., the Ford dealership in Florence, had his work cut out for him Friday morning.

Only a few hours into his workday, he said he had taken about 30 calls from customers asking about the recall on certain Ford pickups and trucks.

In Eugene, about 50 customers dropped by the service department at Kendall Ford on Friday for a temporary repair, said general manager Steve Ruiz. And the dealership will have one...
