CORVALLIS - With 15:25 remaining in the first half Tuesday night, David Lucas began his senior season.

Oregon State's all-conference forward had 13 points in 17 minutes during his season debut to help the Beavers close out their nonconference slate with an 86-59 win over Sacramento State in front of 4,592 at Gill Coliseum.

Lucas missed the first 10 games of the season after he had surgery to repair a tendon in his right big toe in late October. He practiced for the first time Sunday and took the court for limited minutes against the Hornets.
