Praise for voters, campaign supporters

The 2004 election was historical. The spirit of America was rekindled through the electoral process, with more people voting than in the last two decades. By the time ballots were cast in the final states, between 117 and 120 million people nationwide had voted in this election. Almost 380,000 people voted in DuPage County alone.
