- Kris Marienthal, son of John and Karole Marienthal of Buffalo Grove, has received a student teaching position through Monmouth College. A senior art major, Marienthal will serve as a student teacher in an art class at Meridian Middle School in Buffalo Grove.
- Rachael Schermitzler, daughter of Neil and Diane Schermitzler of Buffalo Grove, was awarded a scholarship from Saint Mary's College in Notre Dame, Ind. Recipients are first-year students who demonstrated outstanding academic performance in high school, involvement in extracurricular activities and dedication to community service. The academic scholarship is renewable annually for four years.
Schermitzler is a graduate of Loyola Academy.
- Christopher Lehnert of Buffalo Grove, a freshman at Lake Forest College, has been awarded a Forester Scholarship for Leadership and a Prairie Sate Academic Scholarship.
