FOR ONCE, MICKEY MOUSE wasn't the big draw at the Magic Kingdom. No, more than 2,000 cosmetic chemists and their guests from around the world met in Walt Disney World to hear the latest developments in cosmetic chemistry at the 23rd Congress of the International Federation of Societies of Cosmetic Chemists (IFSCC), October 24-28. And they weren't disappointed. The congress featured more than 70 podium presentations, two keynote addresses, 240 posters and an exhibition representing more than 120 companies displaying their products and services in over 160 booths. The organizing committee for the event was chaired by Guy Padulo of Kobo Products and included Colleen Rocafort, Ciba Specialty Chemicals; Joe Pavlichko, Croda, and William Cowen and Theresa Cesario of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists. The honorary chairman for the Congress was Henry F. Maso, a past president of both the SCC and IFSCC.
