Article Excerpt Sensitec GmbH (Lahnau, Germany, ++49-6441-9788-0)(www.sensitec.com), which began operations under its own name around 2000, and previously was known as IMO (Institute for Microstructures and Optoelectronics, is emerging as a genuine player in the market for AMR (anisotropic magnetoresistive) sensors. Sensitec makes and sells MR sensor elements and packaged MR sensors equipped with the company's patented ASIC. In 2003, Sensitec, which is part of the Lust group of companies, reportedly had sales of around 4.5 million euro (about $5.8 million at the current exchange rate). Joachim Achenbach, Sensitec's president, expects the company's sales to increase about 20% in 2004.
