NEW OIL IMPORT TAX IN PHILIPPINES TO RAISE US$100 MLN NEXT YR

MANILA - A five-percent import duty will be levied on imported crude and all refined petroleum products except liquefied petroluem gas (LPG) effective January next year, the Department of Energy (DoE) today said.

The DoE issued the certification to implement the adjustment in import tariff to five per cent from the present three per cent.
