NEW YORK - Cathrine Kraayeveld is making the best of her final season at the University of Oregon.

The senior, beset by injuries the past two years, had 18 points and seven rebounds to lift the Ducks to a 68-50 victory over Long Island in the championship game of the Long Island Turkey Classic on Saturday.

Kraayeveld was named the tournament's MVP, and the Ducks improved to 4-0 this season.

Chelsea Wagner, also named to the all-tournament team, and Corrie Mizusawa added 11 points apiece.

`We wanted to come in and get two wins and just play consistently, and I think we did that,' Kraayeveld said. `It's different coming on the East Coast. ... It's a little different style than what we're used to. But when we stay aggressive and intense on defense, it fuels our offense and that's what we did...
