Prior to their match with Warren for a Class AA championship on their home court Saturday night, Antioch's volleyball players received a gift from one of their biggest fans.

The niece of Sequoits coach Bob Schenk presented each girl a two-foot long pixie stick with a note reading, "Stick it to Warren."

The Sequoits did just that.

"It was a sweet gesture," Antioch senior Ashley Wisler said. "So we just came out and stuck it to them (Warren)."

Antioch won 25-18, 26-24. Which means the Sequoits will get to stick a regional plaque to the wall outside the gym for the first time since 1995.

Antioch (30-7) will face Lake Zurich in the first semifinal of the Warren sectional at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

"I just feel like I am on top of the world right now," Antioch senior Kate Hofeldt said. "We stuck together and played hard as a team. This is such an amazing feeling."
