At Bob Miller's house, it's known simply as "The Game."

It was the 2002 Class AA DeKalb supersectional, a game that became a thing of legend for Glenbard North, its coach and for Cinderella teams throughout the state.

When you beat West Aurora, it takes more than a pinch to awaken from the dream.

"After that game," Miller said, "everyone looked at us and said, 'Hey, if they can do it, so can we.'

"We became the poster child for underdogs."

In a season like this, every team is an underdog to West Aurora - again.

With University of Illinois-bound center Shaun Pruitt, Seton Hall-bound Justin Cerasoli and four-year starter Jaeh Thomas, the Blackhawks remain the beast of the western suburbs.

For yet another season, they're the bane of nearly every area team hoping to make it to the Elite Eight.

All roads to Peoria go through West Aurora.

"Obviously, they have the most talent in the state," said Neuqua Valley coach Todd Sutton, whose team lost to the Blackhawks in the 2001 sectional final.
