A University of Oregon blueprint to reshape several residential blocks at the southeastern corner of campus is under review by Eugene planners, the first step in what could be a bumpy, months-long process leading to a decision by the City Council.

After 18 months of internal planning and revision - marked by sharp objections from some and cautious support from others - the university has applied to redesignate uses on much of the 35 acres it owns in the east campus area.
