Oregon was back in the meeting rooms and out on the practice field Sunday, but the Ducks didn't lose their usual day off as a result of Saturday's game - a 55-16 loss to Washington State - but because there is one less day of preparation this week, with a Friday night game at Utah.

The game was moved up a day for a live telecast by ESPN2, which makes it worth about $250,000 for each school, with a 7 p.m. PDT kickoff from Rice Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City.

The shorter week, UO coach Mike Bellotti said, `is the first I've ever had in 32 years of coaching. It'll be interesting.'

Utah (3-1) has already played once this season without the usual number of days between games, coming back from a Saturday loss at Texas A&M to beat California on a Thursday night. The Mountain West Conference has an agreement with ESPN, and the...
