Chad Ruhoff got more from his father than a background in construction and real estate development.

He got a feel for niche building and marketing.

He got an appreciation for high-end homes and custom designs.

And like his siblings, he got his own street.

"He got to develop a street after each of his children, and then he retired," Chad Ruhoff says of his father, Rod Ruhoff.

"I grew up on job sites, so a lot of it kind of came natural to me," he says. "But my Dad retired about the time I started."

His father, operating as Ruhoff Real Estate, specialized in what Chad Ruhoff describes as smallish, innovative, "kind of Cadillac houses," along with income properties.
