GOP jumps on bandwagon

At first I was amused, then I was bewildered, then I was astonished, and finally I became disgusted. Why? Read on.

For years, the Republican Party has blamed "those Hollywood types" for being mostly responsible for the corruption of our society. Permissive sex, ultra-violent movies, rampant drug use and vulgar language were all examples paraded by conservatives to demonstrate that Democrats and their Hollywood allies were ruining us all. Now that they have one of their own in Arnold Schwarzenegger, they proudly flock to his bandwagon.

Schwarzenegger has arrogantly discussed his wild sexual experiences. His unrepentant description of his drug use seems to make no difference to the neo-cons. The fact that his movies are among the most violent in the industry seems to go unnoticed. Even the revelation that he was, for a while, an illegal immigrant has not cooled their ardor.

I don't expect these neo-cons to support a Democrat, but for pity's sake: Why don't they support a candidate who at least seems to embody their stated beliefs? Why? Because they want to win the governorship of California at any cost, that's why.

So it doesn't matter if their candidate is everything they purport to hate, as long as there is an "R" in front of his name and he has...
