It's a rancorous rivalry, Ducks and Huskies, but from last year's game, Oregon quarterback Kellen Clemens vividly remembers a random act of sportsmanship.

He'd played his first major role in an Oregon game, and it hadn't gone well. He was a surprise second-half starter, with the score tied 14-14, and his first pass was intercepted, setting up the Washington touchdown that turned the tide toward a 42-14 rout.

A tough day, and so it meant something to Clemens that Washington quarterback Cody Pickett sought him out on the field afterward with words of encouragement. They could be marketed together as the Cowboy Quarterbacks - Clemens grew up on a ranch near Burns, herding cattle among other chores, and Pickett is a former rodeo competitor - but hadn't met before.
