The wind swirls. It changes directions. The gusts come and go. When it looks calm at the goal posts it can be blowing at the 20-yard line.

It's the worst stadium for a kicker, said Oregon's Jared Siegel, and he meant Autzen Stadium.

Which can only mean one thing, UO coach Mike Bellotti countered: `He hasn't been up there yet.'

`Up there' would be Husky Stadium, where the Ducks play Washington on Saturday night.

`Jared has been pretty good and he's learned from the winds here at Autzen, but it's not quite like what it's going to be in' Husky Stadium, Bellotti said.

The Ducks once chose to play into a strong wind in the third quarter so they'd have it at their backs in the final period. Oregon changed directions, Bellotti recalled, and so did the wind.
