FOOD for Lane County board members have begun crafting new policies for credit cards used by food bank staff members, including a prohibition on personal charges, spending limits and a provision for firing people who misuse the cards.

The agency expects the results of a special audit of credit card use this week. The board's executive committee will meet next Thursday to discuss the findings and give Executive Director Caroline Frengle the opportunity to respond, board Chairwoman Cynthia Pappas said.
