Company proposes to build dock on Bolon Island

REEDSPORT - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is evaluating a permit application from American Bridge Company to build a dock on Bolon Island in the Umpqua River, near Reedsport.

The project would remove an existing 15,000-square-foot timber dock and up to 1,100 cubic yards of sediment. The new dock would be 50 feet wide and 70 feet long. The dock would be used to receive raw materials and transport finished products from the company.
