"Drat. It's raining again," I muttered. A cold drizzle seeped through my jacket as I wandered the trails at Mount Pisgah. The weather had been vacillating between chilly showers and glimpses of sun, a typical teasing spring. I longed for swimming temperatures, naked toes wiggling in sandals, and sun-baked rocks against my skin.

Wildflowers littered the meadows with purple, yellow and white. Gazing at an ancient incense cedar filled me with awe and respect, and I marveled at the arboretum's magnificent display of nature's simple beauty.

But on the drive home, my spirits were low. My sparkle was gone. A talk show on the radio caught my attention. The topic of discussion was depression and the psychological impacts of divorce. A concerned caller asked, "How can I help my depressed son?"...
