Don't let Durbin block this nominee

She is African-American. And President Bush has just nominated her to the prestigious Washington, D.C., Circuit Court of Appeals. This is a "steppingstone" to the United States Supreme Court. Justice Janice Brown is highly qualified: With 44 years in public service, and six years (elected) on the California Supreme Court, she wrote more majority opinions than any other judge on that court. She had bipartisan support from judges in California.
