Naperville North's Class of 2004 immediately caught the attention of girls volleyball coach Ric Krebs when it arrived four years ago.

Krebs recalled discussing its potential back then with his assistant coach, Tim Wierenga.

"When this group walked in as freshmen four year ago we realized we had probably the best freshmen class we ever had come through," said Krebs, who is in his 29th season as the school's coach. "It's a real unique class. I think we realized when they came in that, 'Hey, this could be something real interesting in four years.' "

Those freshmen are now seniors. While they're grown a little taller in the past four years, their potential remains. In fact, if anything, it's increased.
