For the past three years, Hersey's Allison Stein has been one of the area's premier sluggers on the volleyball court.

This year, teammate Cara Duffy gets her first true opportunity to display her prowess as another top hitter in the Mid-Suburban League.

Together, Stein and Duffy figure among the top hitting duos in the area and they are ready to help Hersey try to reclaim the top spot in the Mid-Suburban League East.

"Both of them are complete players," said veteran coach Nancy Lill, who has had her share of top sluggers throughout career of close to 500 victories.
