Better have a few dollar bills in your pocket if you head out this weekend to enjoy the pre-summer weather at some of Lane County's most popular parks.

Starting Saturday, the pay-to-enter season begins, and failure to fork over the cash on the spot could mean a $141 fine if you get caught without a receipt on your dashboard.

Of course, you can avoid the whole problem by purchasing a season pass - then you just have to remember to display it. Parkgoers will have to pay the entry fee through September.

Here's how it works. At Mount Pisgah in the Howard Buford Recreation Area, it costs $2 per visit or $20 for the all-season pass.
