The real battle at the Bulldog Invitational at Grant Thursday afternoon wasn't between the seven teams that competed for the title.

Instead, it was between Lake Zurich's distance runners and its sprinters.

"I am not sure which group scored the most points tonight," LZ coach Joe Lewandowski said. "It was quite a battle, that's for sure."
