Warren is in unfamiliar territory.

The Blue Devils are off to their best start in the program's history. Warren has earned a No. 6 seed in the Buffalo Grove Class AA sectional.

"That's what the other coaches thought," said Warren coach Jeff Knouse, whose team is 11-2 and on a 9-game winning streak. "Going into the meeting I thought we'd be 3, 4 or 5."

Knouse is in his first year coaching the Blue Devils and is learning quickly about the strength among the teams in the sectional.
