When the girls track programs descend upon St. Charles East tonight for the annual Kane County Meet, there can be little doubt as to whom the team to beat is.

Batavia, the four-time reigning conference champion, is only one victory behind for county supremacy as the Bulldogs have won the title the last three springs.

With the conference meets on the immediate horizon, many area teams are poised to stake their claim for preeminence.
