Steve Brosio left the construction site for the kitchen.

The longtime Palatine resident was looking for a change and decided it was time to pursue his cooking hobby.

Brosio and his wife, Cindy, opened Berruti's Deli, at 771 S. Buffalo Grove Road in Buffalo Grove. They describe the eatery as "an upscale sandwich shop." A deli counter is another feature of the business that opened at the end of March.
