The DePaul men's basketball team made significant strides last year.

One season after slogging through with a 9-19 record and failing to qualify for the Conference USA Tournament, first-year coach Dave Leitao and the Blue Demons went 16-13 and qualified for the National Invitation Tournament (NIT).
