Instead of backpacking through Europe, Patsy Mayo headed to snowy-capped mountains for ah adventure after college.
"In 1969, I sold everything I possessed except what I could pack in a footlocker and went to Alaska without a job," said Mayo. "'Bob, my husband of 30 years, and I started dating in Alaska. Both of our children, Rob, 28, and Allison, 26, were born there. In 1978, we moved back to Mississippi so Rob and Allison would know their grandparents and appreciate family."
