Two years ago, Amy Arrington was faced with a career dilemma.

Not long after she began working for the Mississippi Hospital Association (MHA), her husband, Derek, accepted a position as ah attorney in a law firm in his hometown of Hattiesburg. Her job, however, was in Jackson.

"It was a wonderful opportunity for us to return to a smaller city and establish our home, but I was torn at having to leave my job that I enjoyed so much," said Arrington. "Fortunately, the president of the company recognized the opportunity to establish a flexible work environment, allowing me to vary my schedule between working in the Jackson office and telecommuting from home a few days each week....
