Digital Recorders, Inc. (DRI) (Nasdaq:TBUS), a market leader in transit, transportation and law enforcement digital-communications and audio-enhancement systems, announced today that recent appropriation actions involving more than $7 billion by both the U.S. Senate and House include increased funding to programs directly related to the Company's served domestic markets.

The Senate Appropriations Committee recently passed fiscal year 2004 appropriations, directing $7.31 billion to transit programs. The House previously acted in a similar fashion, directing $7.23 billion to transit programs. Reconciliation in joint committee work is expected to occur in September, leading to a final resolution potentially greater than last fiscal year's...
