Bridgestone/Firestone will spend $15.5 million on a consumer education campaign and change the construction of certain tires to settle a nationwide class action suit.

Bridgestone/Firestone North American Tire L.L.C.-in settling the suit involving the company's recalled Firestone ATX, ATX II and Wilderness AT tires-will conduct a three-year program for consumers that will concentrate on tire inflation, use and maintenance, driving safety and automobile maintenance, the firm said.
