If Eugene could have played a majority of its schedule against Salem-Keizer this season, the Emeralds might be in a pennant race right now.

As it stands, Eugene will have to settle for its first two-game win streak in nearly a month, as it defeated the Volcanoes 4-0 in front of 2,986 at Civic Stadium on Monday, bringing its season record against Salem-Keizer to 7-5, including a victory on Sunday.

It was also the Ems' first shutout since beating the Volcanoes 9-0 on July 4, and the first time Eugene (22-47) won on consecutive nights since following a win against Salem-Keizer (34-36) on July 6 with a win against Boise on July 7....
