If Hurricane Camille. happened today, it would wipe out a lot of insurance companies, says Jim Jenkins, executive vice president of Mississippi Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Co.

"Look at the difference in building today and in 1969 when Camille hit," Jenkins said. "And if a major hurricane hit and put a lot of insurance companies out of business, then what would people do? It is a complicated business. Unfortunately, you have to at least break even. It isn't as easy as it might seem. It isn't like selling shirts that the more you sell, the more you make. You have to be careful you don't put too many eggs in one basket."
