Schaumburg Park District officials estimate the agency will lose $60,000 this summer, since the $8.9 million sports complex won't open until late summer instead of Monday.

In addition, sports teams and other groups that had booked the sports complex this summer will now be scrambling to make other accommodations.

Park officials are wondering whether the contractors building the sports complex are liable for their losses.
