ConAgra Foods Inc. is selling its Bumble Bee canned seafood business and other assets to Bumble Bee's operating management and affiliates of the private investment firm Centre Partners Management LLC, reported Omaha World-Herald, see page 1 for details.

CATFISH--Farm-raised catfish processed during April 2003 totaled 57.1 million pounds round weight, up 13% from April 2002. The average price paid to producers was 63 cents per pound for April 2003, up 4.5 cents from last month and 6.9 cents above a year ago. Net pounds of processed fish sold during April 2003 totaled 26.1 million pounds, up 4% from the comparable month in 2002.
