PROJECT OVERVIEW:

The local PETROLEOS DE MEXICO (PEMEX) recently awarded an oil platform construction contract to Spain-based ACTIVIDADES DE CONSTRUCCION Y SERVICIOS SA (ACS), a subsidiary of DRAGADOS OFFSHORE that is part of GRUPO DRAGADOS SA.

According to the terms of the award, ACS will be responsible for building a 15,000 ton platform known as KU-A2. In so doing, the platform will be built at DRAGADOS OFFSHORE's facilities in the north of the Mexican state of Veracruz.

The cost to complete the project, within 25 months, has been estimated at $195,000,000.

ACS, a subsidiary of DRAGADOS OFFSHORE, employs a total workforce of approximately 28,900 and operates as a holding company. The group is engaged in heavy construction, property development and marketing as well as the provision of commercial and industrial services.
