Mike Moore, former Director General of the World Trade Organisation, and Michael Moore, host of 'The Awful Truth' and author of Stupid White Men and director of Bowling for Columbine, must both get very frustrated with one another: each saying the opposite of what the other says. I had one such moment when I said yes to reviewing Mike Moore's book about heading up the WTO. The title is the first glaring problem with this book.
What does it mean to have a world without walls? Is it really without walls, or are the walls more like one-way glass--open in one direction and closed in the other. Any poor person or refugee soon discovers that the walls are very present and very high and long, rather like the new wall the Israeli government...
