Don't change street name

Changing the name of Centennial Boulevard is a foolish idea. Martin Luther King Jr. really has enough things named for him. If the Eugene City Council feels the need to name something else for him it should find something new to name, not change a long-established name.

I have been following the debate in Eugene regarding the renaming of Centennial Boulevard with sadness and, I must say, humor. We only need to look at cities like Portland to see the empty relevance of renaming a street after such a great man.
