PROJECT OVERVIEW:

The local FINA PETROLEOS DE ANGOLA SARL (FPA), a subsidiary of France-based TOTAL S.A., currently acts as operator for the offshore Dalia oil field that was discovered in 1997. The deposit sited some 135 kms offshore is located in water depths ranging between 1,200 and 1,500 meters.

The scope of the development project will involve drilling: - 34 production wells; - 30 water injection wells; - 3 gas injectors. - The undertaking will also include the installation of a floating, production, storage and offloading facility (FPSO) that will produce 240,000 barrels per day (b/d) of crude. It will have 400,000 b/d of total liquids handling capacity and a storage capacity of 2,000,000 barrels. It will also include 2 processing trains to separate out gas and water and to heat the crude. This floater will be 300 meters long and 63 meters wide and will include a 120 bed-accommodation unit.
