A campaign flier signed by three Lake in the Hills trustees dropped like a political bomb this week.

And because it involved one of the state's most expensive races, ethics law challenges can't be far behind.

Adorned with the signatures of trustees Joe Murawski, Jim Kennedy and Paula Yensen, the flier trumpeted their support of Democratic candidate Patrick Ouimet in his 32nd state Senate race against Republican incumbent Pamela Althoff.

Problem is, says village President Ed Plaza, the flier is misleading and has residents believing the entire village board supports...
