STANFORD, Calif. - The University of Oregon men's and women's track and field teams wrapped up action in the Stanford Invitational at Cobb Track and Angell Field Saturday with nine Pac-10 qualifying marks and seven NCAA qualifying marks.

On the women's side, junior Kirsten Riley led the Ducks in the pole vault with a win and outdoor best of 12-11 3/4 , edging Santa Barbara's Deborah Samson, who cleared the same final height but with more misses.

"The conditions were great - sunny and warm - and it was a fun way to wrap up spring break," said Riley, a graduate of South Eugene High School.

Riley's previous outdoor best of 12-10 dated back to her fifth-place finish in last May's Pac-10 Championships in Pullman, Wash.
