There were tapes of NFL teams to watch and analyze. There was a long look at the Pittsburgh defense that held Oregon State to 8 rushing yards and one touchdown in the Insight Bowl.

In quest of solutions, Oregon defensive coaches also visited Texas and TCU.

`TCU is very similar to us in what it does,' UO defensive coordinator Nick Aliotti said. `They played very well last year.'
