COTTAGE GROVE - Trina Davenport. Jackson Taylor. Brian Walker. And now Sumer Solesbee.

The Cottage Grove High School Class of 2003 mourned Monday for Solesbee, a popular senior who died in a head-on collision on a treacherous stretch of Highway 99 about 2 1/2 miles north of here.

She was the fourth member of the class to die in a car accident in the past two years.

"We're kind of starting to get used to it, actually," said senior Dylan Smith, as he and other classmates erected a white cross on the roadside next to the crash site. "It's kind of unbelievable."
