We are proud to announce the first year of the Levi's Digital Art Award. This Award aims to give new media art and design students a platform in which to interpret a real-life brief, and to show off their emerging talents.

Over the past 130 years, working with artists has become part of the Levi's brand, but this move into digital art is a first. This year, the brief requires students across Europe to reinterpret and explore the rich cultural heritage of the 501 jean for the web environment, celebrating the jean's 130th birthday this year.

Submitted work has been shortlisted by a panel of representatives from Levi's, Lateral, and BBH. These are featured on eu.levi.com as of May 1st for one month. The public gets to vote for their favourite interpretation and the winner will be announced on eu.levi.com May 31st.

A wide selection of submitted work will also be exhibited at the Institute of Contemporary Art in London (ICA) May 12-14.
